O Bloco de Esquerda apresentou hoje um projecto de Lei sobre a Nacionalidade.
Com este projecto, o Bloco pretende que adquiram automaticamente a nacionalidade portuguesa todos os filhos de imigrantes que tenham nascido em Portugal. Actualmente, o princípio que rege a lei da nacionalidade é o ius sanguini. O Bloco de Esquerda pretende ver transposto para a legislação nacional o princípio do ius soli, ou direito de solo, seguindo os mesmos critérios que regem países com uma forte tradição de imigração, como os Estados Unidos da América ou a França.
O Bloco de Esquerda associa-se à concentração pela regularização imediata de todos os imigrantes (convocada por uma ampla plataforma que incluiu associações de imigrantes, anti-racistas, confissões religiosas e a CGTP), que terá lugar no próximo domingo, dia 20, às 14.30h, no Martim Moniz – Lisboa. Os deputados Francisco Louça, Luís Fazenda e Helena Pinto estarão presentes na concentração.
